Even though I provided an additional list of mc & mac names for your consideration, I'd have to add that I probably wouldn't use any of them.....Maybe McLeod, unlikely ever to be a girl's name, and short enough.
I think your best bets would either be Cormac or Malcolm, either of which could readily be shortened to Mac.
I do know a fair number of men whose sn's begin with Mc or Mac who are called Mac even though their fn is more conventional.
