That would have delighted me as well, and I love Marilla Cuthbert. Oh, how we could all use a daily dose of her prudent Canadian Maritime common sense.
Its aesthetic however, does not quite meet my requirements. The -il part of -illa (and this applies to Camilla, Priscilla, etc.) has always repelled me, perhaps because people around me tend to produce the L sound with their throats (like someone from Moscow) instead of the tops of their mouths (which would be more pleasing to me).
The same could be said of the L in Felix (thanks again, Sullivan Entertainment).
People need to be more conscientious with their L's.
