For the record, I accuse France and Germany of being backward and intolerant, in regard to their naming laws, not in regard to anything else. I don't have a problem saying that.

I couldn't care less that guru doesn't like Caspian. I don't like it, either. Of course, he's entitled to his opinion. What I objected to was his saying that everyone else should be forced to abide by his wishes, wishes that are based upon his opinion. The way he worded it really rubbed me the wrong way. Then again, I wasn't sure if he meant it literally, or if it was just hyperbole, along the lines of "I hate this name so much it should be outlawed!", which I can see myself saying in an obvious joking way. I'm still not sure whether or not he was serious.

I can't say that I agree with Ludwig that he was baiting us. It didn't seem overt enough for that. Either way, I don't see why the fact that he has been so obnoxious in the past that he's started flame wars means that we should all handle him with kid gloves.
