My name is Staci, I don't love it or hate it, but my parents loved it and I suit it so I have a certain fondness for it. Its never been crazy popular where I live so its not a dated name though it is well-known and kinda expected. I've met way more other Stacey's that are girls (all spelt Stacey) than guys (all spelt Stacy). I've met two guys with this name that are about 20-ish and I've found it very hard to get used to. Definitely a girly name to me. Its too soft for a boy.

My own spelling was originally Stacey but I changed it many years ago to Staci because I didn't like how boring it was and I wanted to be different. So with that in mind, I wouldn't suggest naming a child that, boy or girl because it is pretty boring.
