I went to school with a Desmond with the nickname Dez and I really liked it. How do you feel about Desmond not shortened or shortened to Dez or something besides Desi?

I saw someone else suggest Llyr here. I really like Desmond Llyr, it has such a clear strong sound. I also like Desmond Alistair - it sounds great and looks nice too.

In this situation, as long as I didn't hate what my husband was suggesting, I'd probably try calling the baby by that name for a few days to see how it felt. If I felt alright with it, I'd use my husband's pick and put a favorite of my own in the middle.
