...whereas I don't think one has to adopt the hipster label to be aware of cutting edge fashion. Some of us can be aware of cutting edge trends and choose NOT to dress as a hipster, or partially hipster, or sporadically as a hipster.
That said, I also think dressing like a hipster is becoming increasingly normal, describing people who simply choose to dress non-drab (or ironically drab).
