Names for baby bunnies
I have five baby bunnies, they are now 5 days old and I can't for the life of me figure out which name theme to go with. So I would really appreciate your help!
The three options I have are greek mythology, Harry Potter or Capital names.
I won't be able to find out the bunnies gender's for a while, so I thought unisex names (capitals) could come in handy, while Harry Potter and mythology are things I just like. Would you mind voting on my poll, and if you feel like it, explain why you choosed the one you did?The poll: http://www.behindthename.com/polls/215341Thanks! :)

I chose Greek mythology as there are many names I like but would not use on a human.
I think capitals are okay though I'm kind of tired of London, Paris etc. But there are some that would make interesting names, like Funafuti. ;)

I went for Greek Mythology... the names are just cooler, and also a tiny bit because HP isn't my thing anymore and I have this insane hatred of place-names on people / animals, so that's not going to get my vote either :P
I do kind of love the idea of an adorable little bunny with a rediculously grand name, you know, Prometheus or something. There are quite a few very useable Greek mythology names - Pandora, Hektor, Iris, Daphne etc - but I'd be tempted to go for the rediculous and have an assortment of bunnies named Prometheus, Ptolemy, Aristodemos, Nausicaa, Zeus etc. But that's just me and I'm a weirdo. Dammit, mythological names are just cool. And anyway, if you wanted to name one of them Hermione, you still could do so and fit with your theme ;PThe problem is that lots of the names are decidedly masculine or feminine, and so you could easily end up with a female Zeus. That said, I know loads of people who have accidentally given boy dogs girl names or adopted a female cat the owner thought was a boy and so forth, and they've either renamed them or stuck with it cos it worked in a weird way. My friend's cat was originally owned by an old lady who though she was a boy and named her Jack or something, so when they got her and found out she was a girl they renamed her Lottie. No problems. It's not really as problematic as giving a person a name which turns out to be wrong. With an animal, as long as you can remember that you've changed it and what you've changed it to, you can probably get away with changing it, I guess.

Capital names, especially because most of them are unisex. London, Paris, Berlin, Bangkok, Dublin, Kingston, Tokyo. And if you wait until you find out the gender, I think Canberra, Vienna, Luanda, Victoria and Sofia. I also like Paz (for La Paz). But the best thing would be that you could name them right now, without knowing the gender.

My favorite rabbit is called Carrot, after Carrot Ironfoundersson from the Ankh-Morpork City Watch (Discworld series by Terry Pratchett)We got him from a small animal rescue and I didn't like the name they gave him there. His mother was a dwarf rabbit who was abandoned, the father is unknown, but clearly not a dwarf rabbit. (Carrot is bigger than his mom)
He has a 'wild' color (brown hues, and a little bit of orange)Harry potter names would be cute.
I had a cute little miniature lop I named Molly. (I didn't name her after Molly Weasley, but when I saw the movie I noticed my little Molly did look a little like a Weasley)

Greek mythology I feel is more 'serious', a theme for a sibset not a litter of bunnies (are a group of rabbits called a litter? - I don't know.)
I am also a Harry Potter fan but I think Harry and Ron are a little dull on rabbits, but if you used something more out there; Hermione, Neville, Dumbeldoor... for example then it could be a really good idea.

I love the idea of a bunny named Xenophilius. Totally in love with it. I really need to think some more about this.
And yes, it's called "litter" :)

When it comes to capital names, these are the ones on my list: Canberra Kairo Paris Manila Dublin Kingston Tokyo Dakar LondonI'm going for the Swedish spellings of the capitals, that makes the most sense. I was also tossing around Sarajevo before, along with Mogadishu, Katmandu etc.

I voted for HP. The names are the most pleasing. Are there no potentially unisex HP names? I don't even know. Greek mythology is good, but seems less personalized ... using HP is more of a statement, more idiosyncratic. Capital cities doesn't seem bunnyish to me at all.off topic - My neighborhood is HOPPING with little black bunnies right now. Someone's pet had a litter and they just turned them loose, wtf.

I don't think any of the names are very bunnyish, but I do like the capital cities because they are unisex and I would like to call the bunnies something else than just 1, 2, 3 etc. And with the HP and mythology names, I will either have to wait a couple of weeks before I can name them, OR come up with two names for each bunny (male/female). Ahh. It's harder to name them than a human baby haha.
