I like it! I wonder why...
I was named after a military plane my grandfather flew in WWII, but also because my parents thought it was a elegant yet spunky name that would stay classic in both Iberian languages and English. If you also have a good reason for using it, go ahead! I think namesakes makes them more meaningful, and often give a sense of heritage.
I probably wouldn't like it on someone else, just because I'm sort of protective of it. Like, "it's my name, find your own". That being said, if it wasn't my name, I would be happy to see it. My god-daughter is
Skye Catalina last-name, and I love it on her.
