I love both names in their own right!
I like Jonathan Gabriel but I adore Jonathan Oscar... so Oscar it is. It does beat Gabriel to the finish line. It's utterly dashing. It also flows better. And if I were to be honest, I find Oscar more pleasing in every category. Gabriel is very nice and I like it, but Oscar is one of my favourites ever and I think it really adds something to a name combo. Gabriel has its peers, Oscar is a little different and as trendy as it is, has character.
As much as I love Gabriel too, I'm 100% with Oscar here. :)
