Lindsay, definitely. I think Ashley is dashing on males, overused on females.Lindsay. Lindsey looks more unisex to me.Lindsay again.Don't really like any "Sidney" name except for Cydney, and that's only because of Cyd Charisse.Callie. Cali looks too much like California.Callista, nn "Callie." I prefer the double 'l'.

Ashley or Lindsay = Lindsay, but spely Lindsey because I dislike Ashley (any spelling) on a girl.
Lindsey or Lindsay = as said above, Lindsey, just because I personally think it looks better.
Sidney or Lindsay = Lindsay, I loathe (and I mean LOATHE!) Sidney on a girl!
Neither, i'm sorry but I feel so strongly about the name on a girl I can't choose between the spellings.
Callie or Cali = Callie looks more complete imo and so that would be my choice, yes there may also be pronunciation issues with Cali.
Calista nn Cali because I prefer the spelling Calista.

Lindsay for both
Sidney
Sidney for a boy, Sydney for a girl
Callie because Cali sounds like a brand of juice
Callista nn Callie. I used to know a Callista who was rarely called by any nickname

Ashley or Lindsay: Lindsay. I dislike it less.
Lindsey or Lindsay: Lindsay. It's always looked the "most correct" to me. Maybe the first Lindsays I met spelled it this way.
Sidney or Lindsay: Sydney. I like Sid/Syd as nicknames.
Sidney or Sydney: Sydney. I'm used to seeing Sydney for girls. I've only known a couple old men and one little boy named Sidney.
Callie or Cali: - Callie. I think it's prettier, and I tend not to like names that end in I. Most people would pronounce Cali the way you want, I think, because it's already familiar as a nn for California.
Calista nn Cali or Callista nn Callie: I'd split the difference to use my favorite spelling of both--Calista, nn Callie. I don't need the spelling of a nn to be included in the name, though. If forced to choose between these two, I'd pick the second option. I dislike Callista with two Ls, but not as much as I dislike Cali.

Ashley- I know it's very 80's/90's dated, but I still like it a lot
Lindsey- I know more people with the Lindsay spelling, but I much prefer the 'e'. I don't like how Lindsay looks like it should be pronounced lind-say.
Lindsey- This spelling
Sidney or Sydney- neither. I don't care for the name, and both spellings irk me. If I had to choose, I'd pick Sydney. The 'y' in the middle looks weird, and the nn Syd looks and sounds awful, but at least it reminds me of the city. (Sorry for my rant!)
Callie- Cali looks incomplete
Callista nn Callie- I like this spelling of Callie more

Ashley, because Lindsay is even more boring and then there's Lohan
Lindsey, I think..because Lindsay is Lind Say..
Sidney
Sydney because Sidney is more masculine to me
Callie
Callista "Callie"

Ashley
Lindsey
Sidney if it's for a boy, Lindsey if it's for a girl
Sidney for a boy, Sydney for a girl
Callie (Cali would have a short e sound like the beginning of California to me, so not the same as Callie)
Calista nn Cali (but I think you can spell the nn either way for either spelling)

Ashley or Lindsay?
Ashley. Earlier I said Lindsey but I changed my mind.Lindsey or Lindsay?
LindseySidney or Lindsay?
Sidney. I'm not certain what I would choose if it was between Sidney and Ashley.Sidney or Sydney?
Sidney. I prefer the look of Sidney over Sydney for a girl or a boy. As well I dislike place names / spellings. I have to mention that I slightly prefer Sidney more for a boy than for a girl. Sid is a good nn for a male Sidney.Callie or Cali? - could Cali lead to pronunciation troubles? I want them both pronounced like KAL-ee.
Callie. I don't think there would be much confusion about Cali, I just prefer the look of Callie.Calista nn Cali or Callista nn Callie?
Callista nn Callie. Calista just looks a little more odd and unbalanced. I personally prefer Callisto nn Callie the most.

Rather Lindsay than Ashley. Ashley is even more faddish, somehow.
Rather Lindsay than Lindsey. Seems like the original and doesn't suggest linsey-woolsey
Rather Sydney than Lindsay. Just like it better
Rather Sydney than Sidney, unless it's a guy. I'm under the impression Sydney is the usual spelling on girls. Sidney seems especially masculine to me.
Rather Callie than Cali ... See my response in your other thread, about Calista v. Callista and the nick. =)

Lindsay - almost any spelling! (Can't stand Lynsey)
Lindsey
Lindsay/Lindsey
Neither Sidney nor Sydney
Callie as a nn only
Callista nn Callie

Girls:Ashley or Lindsay (any spelling)? Lindsay
Lindsey or Lindsay? Lindsey
Sidney or Lindsay (any spelling)? Sidney
Sidney or Sydney? Sydney. I prefer Sidney for a boy, but I don't mind it for a girl.
Callie or Cali? Callie. People call California Cali, so it wouldn't be a problem where I live, but Callie looks more complete.
Calista nn Cali or Callista nn Callie? Calista nn Cali. Callista reminds me of the words "callous" and "callus."
