Beverly, Oona, Julius, Meriwether

I love Beverly. I prefer just Bev, but Beverly is a great name too.
I used to dislike Oona, but it has grown on me. I prefer Una, though.
Julius is okay. I like Julian more.
Meriwether is an intriguing name. I think it's better suited as a middle name, but if I met an actual Meriwether, would I be pleased? You bet.

Awesome separately and awesome together.
I love all of them!
I'm pressed for time at the moment but I'll try to comment individually later

Beverly - it's my G'mas name so it's got a special place in my heart. I use to hate it but now I appreciate its velvety antiquity :) It's soft and unexpected
Oona - love Oona and love the meaning! It's calming and serene. Primrose Oona is a combo on my longlist and I love the imagery there.
Julius - Prefer Julian but this is more of a show-stopper. I waver between whether Julius sounds weaker or stronger than Julian... the 's' ending somehow seems wheezy while at the exact same time, the Roman quality of all "-us" names makes it seems tough and sporty
Meriwether - love in theory but not so sure about it's practicality

Beverly -- Warm and friendly, happy
Oona -- Irish mythology makes my neuro-transmitters dance with glee. Oonagh is my favorite spelling, but I'll take her just about any way she comes.
Julius -- Historically cool
Meriwether -- Better left in the mn position and only if this is a family surname. Too much teasing potential. (What kind of weather today? Merry weather!)

Beverly - A few decades aged. Reminds me of hillbillies in California!
Oona - I actually really like this, surprisingly. It looks so strange to me, like ooze or something, but I like the sound of it.
Julius - Very nice! I do prefer Julian. It's mature without being aged, allowing a young boy to grow into it gracefully.
Meriwether - Fanciful, and in a dull, aged manner.
