Full name Romanadvoratrelundar... Romana for short.
I didn't have to look that up, which is weird for me. Anyway I've liked the name Romana since I was watching Dr Who reruns in high school.
And I don't like nn Romy. I honestly hate Romy. It's ick. It's sort of like Demi for Demetria, or Flicka for Felicity. Pings my gag reflex.
I like Ramona, too, and that seems earthier than Romana so it's more my style of baby names. But I think the name Romana is more appealing in theory.
I don't think Romana really needs a nickname. It's easy to say it quickly and flowily, and it doesn't really sound all that stiff or fancy.
