I don't hate it. I grew up with 3 boys named Kade (Well, one was Cade). In fact, there were best friends named Kade and Kell and I always thought their names were cute together. Anyway, I like it, however I wouldn't use it because of the recent popularity of Kaden (and additional spellings) which makes it seem less special to me :/
