... I really like Robin on a boy. I used to (still do, come to think of it) love the story of Queen Elizabeth I and her sort of forbidden love for Robert, Earl of Leicester. She grew up calling him Robin - when she became Queen she had to call him Leicester or something like that, but when she git very emotional and needed a friend, not a courtier, she would call him Robin again. If I used Robin on a boy it wouldn't be short for Robert, but it wouldnt be after the bird necessarily.
