If you had to *B.C. Canada*
Since Lily did one like this for the US top 10 I decided to do one for a couple of other countries. Choose only one name for each gender for each year and then mention why you chose it. Also no spelling changes. P.S. It was hard for me to find data from official sites other than this, I found some non official top 10 lists from babycenter but they included all the different spellings when they complied their data and I'm not certain if they got the data from the governments censuses or from their name site polls. This data all came from the countries official government websites. Also I included two different years because all the other countries the info is from 2011, but B.C. already had their 2012 data available.B.C. Interesting to see the changes from one year to the next! I would go with Benjamin and Avery for 2012 and probably Benjamin and Emma for 2011. I've always loved the name Benjamin, and I have a great student this year that reinforces my love for the name. Ever since I was a kid I've been a big fan of Avery (first heard of it as one of the siblings of the brothers in the band Hanson! Great band, btw!) I was very surprised to see it on a top 10 list! Also, I find it interesting that I've always loved Avery but never really warmed up to Ava, despite how popular it's gotten in the US. Not sure why that is when they're so similar.

From 2012, I'd have Hannah and Benjamin. I think they sound nice together. I don't really like any of the girls names at all - how boring.

For the girls both years I'd choose Ella or Emma, I can never decide which one I like best, they are both so pretty and sweet.
For the boys in 2011 I'd choose Owen, it's handsome but cute at the same time. In 2012 I love Jack but Alexander is a close second.

For the 2011 and 2012 girls names I chose Olivia. I also like Sophia, Ava, Chloe, Emily, Ella, and Abigail. I would only use Sophie as a nn for Sophia, and I only like Avery for a boy. Sophia was my second choice. I knew a very nice Olivia growing up, plus I love the nn's Olive, Liv, Livvy, and Lia.For the 2011 and 2012 boys names I chose Lucas. I also like Liam, Benjamin, Logan, Nathan, Owen, Alexander, and Noah. My second choice was Liam, and Logan was my third choice. I had a good friend growing up named Lucas, though we were better friends with his younger sister Nina since he usually teased us. I've always loved the name Lucas ever since I knew him. Luke is an okay nn but I prefer just plain Lucas. The one thing I like about Luke is that it makes me think of Star Wars.So my final choices for both years were Olivia and Lucas.

My combos are Olivia Ella and Lucas Nathan. Ella was my great grandmother's name, I was very close to her and Ella wasn't her nn it was her full first name. Nathan is one of our best friends names and it sounds good as a combo when combined with our surname. I slightly prefer the sound of Olivia Abigail and Lucas Owen but I like how Ella and Nathan are honoring. For non most popular mn combos I like Olivia Serafina and Lucas Taliesin.

For a girl: Avery - I like this name for both a boy and a girl and I don't think it is too popular in England. Combo: Avery Isabella.
For a boy: Alexander - this is a name on my list and I would use the nickname "Lex" which I am crushing on massively. Combo: Alexander Jacob.
