What is your opinion on the name Anneke? Do you think most people would know how to pronounce it?

Anneke is a bit old fashioned to me. I'd be surprised (pleasantly though) if I'd encounter a little girl named that. I say AHN-nə-kə, but I can imagine to an English speaking person it'd be more like A-nə-kee (sort of like Anakin without the -n) :P).

Some people might say ANN-ih-kuh but most people would get it right. Even if they didn't, it would be very easy to teach them.
I think it's a nice name. If you want the prn AHN- instead of ANN- it's probably better to go with Anneke rather than Annika. But Anneke looks rather exotic, and I personally would be reluctant to use it in the US unless I spoke Dutch.
