Gauge... like to gauge someone's eyes out?!
This is seriously terrible, and I thought Hunter was bad :(

You're thinking of gougeGauge has to with measuring precisely, or the size of something, especially fire arms.

Ah, well if I can make that mistake then I still feel sorry for the poor lad.
I thought they were pronounced the same but now I realise that gauge is pronounced like gage, yes? :)

Where I live, the name is spelled Gage. It's a bit theme-y imo. (the gauge of the rifle hunters use) I guess I'm just used to the names now, and it doesn't phase me.

Hunter and Gauge. Oh, bleah. I know a Gauge. They chose Gauge over Gage because "his daddy loves his guns so much!" (Always said with an indulgent my-man-is-sooo-manly shake of her head and, sometimes, a giggle.)I'm almost positive they considered Hunter for baby #2, but it might have been Cannon, possibly Kannon, or Gunnar. It was another gun-like name, anyway. They ended up having a girl--little Adora Belle, always said as a double name. Double yuck, imo, but if your friend ever has a girl, she might like it.

I put the odds of Beretta at 2:1 as I suspect that if the theme continues.

I want to suggest Chootem Clint if they have another boy.

Yuck. I am no fan of Gage, but that would be so much better than "gauge". I really hate Hunter, it's so violet.

I sometimes like the name Gage, but I'm not a big fan of Gauge. It's actually a really strange word to turn into a name...
Hunter is a word name too, but it makes more sense as it's a profession. I don't really like Hunter though. All the kids I've met named Hunter have been sort of violent types... I think people try to use this as a "macho name". I like Hunt as a nn for Hunter though. Don't know why.(edit: apparently Gage / Gauge exists because of a profession name too. Never mind. It just sounds like less of one because it doesn't have an -er)

I like "Gauge" would of better as "Gage". And Hunter is a GP to me.

Oh dear, Gauge is such an awkward word. Gage would have been a WHOLE lot better. In itself it isn't bad, but I don't like the feel of it, combined with Hunter.

the NRA will be happy...Seriously, this is cartoonish. Not as cartoonish as the brothers in their early twenties that I know of named Hunter and Trapper. (And Trapper is Trapper John, like the old TV show.)

I don't know if I should laugh or cry. Gauge. Well, at least Hunter is alright...
