Hunter and Gauge. Oh, bleah.
I know a Gauge. They chose Gauge over Gage because "his daddy loves his guns so much!" (Always said with an indulgent my-man-is-sooo-manly shake of her head and, sometimes, a giggle.)
I'm almost positive they considered Hunter for baby #2, but it might have been Cannon, possibly Kannon, or Gunnar. It was another gun-like name, anyway. They ended up having a girl--little Adora Belle, always said as a double name. Double yuck, imo, but if your friend ever has a girl, she might like it.
