"New" Names
I've been so bored with my long list, so in the last few days I've gone through some of the database and made a new list of girl's names I liked that I'd never considered liking before. It was fun, and seems I'm currently into girl's names that are happy retro or have a pretty, exotic thing going on.Likes/dislikes, comments, combos, or more suggestions are welcome!Adannaya
Adara
Adi
Aileen
Alivia (I know. Deal with it.)
Amala
Bea
Blossom
Calla
Callie
Carra
Chaya
Dannie
Geena
Jacqueline
Jamie
Kinneret
Leela
Maia
Mala
Marie
Meera
Mia
Michaela
Nadie (Algonquin: wise)
Narelle
Nell
Nuna (Algonquin: land)
Nyah
Zola

Adannaya - cool. I wouldn't really consider using it, because it just looks a bit cluttered, but the sound is nice.
Adara - I enjoy this one too.
Adi - Would be a nice nickname. Adaeze nn Adi - if only I knew how to pronounce Adaeze.
Aileen - not a fan
Alivia - oh dear, really?? :)
Amala - I want to like it, but it's like Amalia is missing something. Oo, nickname for Amalia? Then I'm in.
Bea - Would be such a sweet middle name.
Blossom - LOL, really?
Calla - I like Calla too.
Callie - meh, uninteresting
Carra - looks like Cara / Kara is trying too hard.
Chaya - pronounced CHAY-ah like it looks?
Dannie - I love Dani as a nn for Danica. Or wait...Dannie as a nn for Adannaya?
Geena - really don't like the look of this
Jacqueline - not my style, but I enjoy it for someone else
Jamie - meh, boring for an 80s baby
Kinneret - woah, interesting. Not my style, but gutsy.
Leela - feels kinda trendy and forgetable. (As though the syllables are interchangeable...Keela, Keely, Breely, Jayla)
Maia - simple and quite possibly timeless
Mala - I keep thinking NAla like in the Lion King
Marie - Actually not bad - as long as it's not as a middle name

Adannaya - Mm not my type of name, looks a bit weird.
Adara - I think it's okay.
Adi - Sounds like a nickname, but I kind of like it.
Aileen - I like it, Eileen is okay too.
Alivia (I know. Deal with it.) - Haha, Well, I've never really liked Olivia either, but I do love Livia.
Amala - No, it reminds me to much of Kamala which means horrible in Finnish.
Bea - I like this.
Blossom - I don't like this, to me it doesn't sound that pretty or usable.
Calla - Like it!
Callie - For me it is a bit nicknamey.
Carra - I prefer Cara/Kara
Chaya - I like it.
Dannie - I like Dani better.
Geena - I don't like it that much.
Jacqueline - I don't like this name, it doesn't look or sound that pretty to me.
Jamie - Fine.
Kinneret - I don't like it.
Leela - I like this one! Also Lila is fine too.
Maia - I like it.
Mala - I prefer Malla.
Marie - Okay.
Meera - I prefer Mira.
Mia - Okay.
Michaela - I prefer Mikaela.
Nadie (Algonquin: wise) - I don't like the name.
Narelle - Doesn't work for me. I like the ending -elle, but Nar doesn't sound or look that good.
Nell - I really like this one!
Nuna (Algonquin: land) - For some reason it reminds me of Nuha which means common cold in Finnish, so I don't like this.
Nyah - I prefer Nia, and I really like that name.
Zola - It's okay.
Zyanya - Too much "ya" for me, so no.

I've never liked Olivia either. For some reason I really like the look of Alivia though. And heck, I also like Oliwia. Not sure what it is about Olivia.

Love Adannaya, Kinneret, Mia, Nell, Zola, Zyanya. Good for you, sprucing your list up! Stagnation is easy when you get too much in the habit of looking at naming message boards, lol.

Adara, Calla, Chaya, Narelle and Zola all stand out for me. Narelle actually made me think of a character in a book who's name I wasn't sure about at first, but ended up liking, Nariella.Of the list, I'd probably say my favorite combo would be either Adara Nell or Zola Narelle.

Both of those combos are very pretty! I especially like Adara Nell. Zola Narelle sounds kinda posh, ha.

Adannaya - Like the sound but nt the look
Adara - not bad. I actually really liked it a few years ago but now I'm more neutral to it
Adi - don't like, seems more like a nn

Alivia (I know. Deal with it.) - sorry don't like it lol
Amala - don't like it
Bea - nn not full name
Blossom - used to love it now I'm neutral
Calla - alright but nms
Callie - nn not full name
Carra - prefer Cara or Kara, Carra looks mispelled
Chaya - don't like it
Dannie - nn not fn
Geena - don't like it, never thought it looked or sounded pretty
Jacqueline - like it said the french way, but otherwise nms
Jamie - like it best as a nn for unisex James
Kinneret - not bad but I prefer Kynareth
Leela - don't like it, too associated with Futurama for me
Maia - like it better than Maya but nms
Mala - don't like it, Mala means bad
Marie - simple and classic
Meera - prefer Mira
Mia - not bad, cute, but nms
Michaela - really don't like, associated with bratty girls with bratty moms
Nadie (Algonquin: wise) - don't know where you got this but it's incorrect (http://www.native-languages.org/baby.htm). Unless you get the name from a legit Native source or a trusted etymological site like this one, it's best to just assume it's been completely made up tbh

The Algonquin names I got from this website, which I found from googling: http://www.warpaths2peacepipes.com/native-american-indian-names/algonquian-names.htm
It's quite possible that they're not accurate, but I dunno.

Yeah, seeing how they list names that are known to have been made up I wouldn't trust it. The site I linked to is far more trustworthy and if they say it's not a legit Native name, I'd believe them over anyone else tbh
eta: And I'm not saying there's anything wrong with liking those names, it's just that their etymology is made up and that's always something that's rubbed me the wrong way, especially with Native American names. It's just troublesome.

DefinitelyI don't mind if they're made up or the meaning is incorrect, I just liked the look/sound of them. I just put it so people would know where they came from (supposedly).

Kinneret is mesmerizing, isn't it? I found a pronunciation at another site where the stress fell on the middle syllable. Is that how you are saying it? Anyway, it's a neat twist on Harper. "Harper Kinneret" ran through my head once, but I told it to keep on going. Other names that strike my fancy from your list: Maia, Marie (so sweet), Nadie (neat!), Nell, Nyah, and Zola. Combos:Zola Kinneret
Nell Georgia
Jacqueline Mia
Marie Adannaya
Nyah Blossom
Zyanya Nadie
Aileen Mia
Nadie MichaelaCould I interest you in Bee instead of Bea, as a GP? :0)

Certainly, Bee is very cute! I was saying Kinneret with the emphasis on the first syllable... or maybe last. It's hard to say, but not the middle. Interesting to have it on the middle. I actually do like Harper Kinneret quite a bit! I don't mind the redundancy.Ooh, Jacqueline Mia is so chic. Love it. All of them are nice combos, really. Nyah Blossom is gorgeous, and I also like Nadie Michaela a lot.
