Impressions of Meridee?
What do you think of Meridee? I meant it as a girls name but it is more masculine? Youthful or elderly? Dated or trendy? Better for a real person, a fictional character, a pet, or no one at all? What kind of person would you envision this name on? What other names would fall into this same category for you? And of course do you like or dislike it?Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!************

I think it's really cute! Anything Merry-ish is cute, and then the -idee makes me think of chickadee on top of that. So yes, very cute and youthful and energetic feeling. I like it! It seems made up, but I don't think it's weird or trendy seeming.

Meridee, eh? Intriguing. I am neither in love nor repulsed. :)Youthful vs elderly: I'd say youthful. Especially the -dee part. I picture her being called Deedee.Dated or trendy: neitherI think it could work on a real person. But obviously a fictional character would work too.

I think Meridee looks sort of ... midcentury creative, like Jerilyn. It's the ending -ee that gives it too much brass and frowze, IMO - not a great name for a grownup. Meridy is a GP of mine, though. I think it seems sort of character-ish (and probably dated too, since my taste is kinda dated). But I think it would be an alright name for a real person to bear. It's also a first-namey surname name, like Cassidy and Kennedy.

I think it's feminine, modern, youthful, sounds trendy... reminds me of Caridee. I don't like it tbh and think it'd work best for a fictional character or a pet.

Merridee makes me think of a merry chickadee, which is a lovely image, but not something I look for in a name. So I'm afraid I'm out on Meridee. :0?
