New baby Stella
Someone I know recently had a baby and named her Stella. The older brother is Grant. WDYTO the name and the sibset?I've been liking some of the -stel names lately (Estelle, Estelle, Maristella, etc.) especially since they are honoring for my husband's grandmother who was mn'd Estelle.

I used to think it was quite pretty, but my SO said it reminds him of the cheap beer brand Stella Artois, and now I can't get past that!

I hugely approve! The youngest Stella I know is a preschooler and totally delightful, with a smaller sister named Cora - both named after the grandmothers. I think Stella was the lucky one.I dislike Estelle and Estella, and Maristella is new to me. It would probably work better as a mn, I think. But Stella outshines them all.

Stella is nice, as is Estelle, though my fave would have to be Esther, though not a -stel- name. Grant is nms.

I really like Stella. Though I might be a bit bias as its my fave beer ;)

Stella is refreshing and nice enough sibset. Neither is a favorite. I prefer Estella of the stel names though not a favorite either.
