I'm pronouncing it KEE-ra.
I fell in love with the name Marielle some years back. I mostly just liked the sound of it, but I used to babysit a little girl named Arielle here and there, and I basically fell in love with Arielle because of her. I figured that people would be less likely to think that that I used Marielle because of Ariel from The Little Mermaid than if I went with Marielle. Also, Marielle seems to sound better with some of my favorite names than Arielle does. Interestingly enough, Marielle could honor my fiance's mother, so all the more reason to use it.
