Re: Under-5 name sightings

Genevieve - Love it!
Charlotte - Nice. It was my favorite for awhile.
Lotta - I prefer the Lotte or better yet, Lottie.
Darcy / Darcey (girl) - That name always seems so masculine to me. Probably because of Mr. Darcy.
Zachary - Eh, it's okay. Nothing terribly exciting.
Audrey - It's a pretty enough name, I guess. It's just not one that appeals to me.
Soph (nn, obviously) - Sophia is too princessy for me, but I don't like Sophie as the given name, even though I quite like Sophie. It's all too popular at this point though.
Nellie - Cute. I prefer it as a nickname.
Maisie (English) - Nope. Sounds too childish.
Milo - Just reminds me of Milo and Otis.
Gemma / Jemma - Something about Gemma appeals to me, but I just don't like it.
Nate - I like Nate. Nat too. Too bad I have a negative association with Nathaniel.
Harry - I don't care for it.
Maddison, nn Maddie - I don't like the spelling, and Madison / Maddison is masculine to me. Maddie is juvenile.
Will (English) - Okay, if it's short for William.
Keira / Ciara - Nah.
Toby - I used to think Toby was such a cute name, back in high school. Shortly after starting to like it though, a friend started dating one with a drug problem and it kind of ruined it for me.
Laura - Nice enough. Not a favorite or anything, but I like this Laur- name better than my own (Lauren).
Jade - I used to like this back in high school too, mostly because of Jade on the cartoon called Jackie Chan Adventures...or something like that. I thought she was so cool! Haha. I met one in college that I didn't care for though, and unrelated to that fact, it also now sounds stripperish to me.
Rhys / Reese - Love Rhys, although it's middle name territory for me. I love when other people use it for a first though. I don't like the Reese spelling.
Abby / Abbey / Abbie - Really dislike it.
Maxie (English) (boy - probably a nn) - Reminds me of Maxi pads. :\
Mia - Have never liked it.
Matthew (English) - Boring.
Thomas (English) - Not really a fan.-----------------------------------------
