Re: Names I've recently fallen in love with- opinions please! :)
Ottilie: I want to like this name but I'm not sure how to pronounce it. The guide on here makes it seem ugly but I know there are variations.Lola: I think of the Kink's song and it's a very "risque" name here, reserved for prostitutes.Beth: Cute and simple but not really my style. Too mousy.Mabel: Too old lady.Molly: I used to hate this because it sounded infantile and I knew a lot of them--each one wretched in some form. Despite that, I'm still warming up to it.Emily: I like the sound but hate the popularity. Also, I'm 100% convinced that every Emily is evil. Spelling variants are evil and immature.Ernest: Too much like earnest. Also those Ernest movies from my childhood.Jonah: It's okay. A bland Biblical name.Patrick: Love this name.Edward: A family name I love, though nn would only be Eddie. I'm still worried Twilight ruined it but that's just my small-minded seething hatred seeping out. It's still a fabulous name.

Hah, someone else to mention the Ernest movies! I can't believe we're the only ones, I swear there was like a new one every year and they were everywhere.

You mentioned them, too? I have a bad habit of not reading any responses before I post my own on this board! They were everywhere! Posters, billings, and everyone was quoting them.
