Ottilie-I really dislike it. For some reason this name reminds me of an octopus.
Lola-I'm not a huge fan, just seems very downmarket.
Beth-Prefer it as a nn for Elizabeth.
Mabel-Very old ladyish, stodgy and dowdy.
Molly-It's very cutesy and won't age well.
Emily-I seem to have a very bad association with all the Emily's I've met. They just haven't been very nice people.
Ernest-I always think of Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street. I also think of the comedy duo Morecombe and Wise, their names were Eric and Ernie, but you may be too young to remember them? Another thing I think of is an urn. I'm not particularly fond of Ernest, it just looks and sounds unattractive.
Jonah-I prefer Josiah.
Patrick-This is the best name on your list! I may be biased, but it's my son's name.
Edward-This sounds posh and stuck up.
