Claire or Clare? Claire, cause it looks more "real"
Rebecca or Rebekah? Rebecca
Sarah or Sara? Sarah
Rachel or Rachael? Rachel, cause in my region the other spelling would mean a totally different sound
Katherine or Kathryn? Katherine, cause Kathryn is just plain ugly (in my eyes)
Laurie or Lori? Laurie
Joanie or Joni? Joni
Janine or Jeannine? Not really comparable to me, since where I live those are two very different names

Jean or Jeanne? Jeanne (Because I wouldn't give a girl the name Jean because of the French male name)
Aubrey or Aubrie? Probably Aubrey, but not too fond of either
