Kevin is a sporty but serious kind of name ... seems grownup now. It's like Brian. Doesn't put on airs. A regular guy.
Ethan seems much more preppy and conservative - I feel like the name wants to be classy rather than sporty. Younger too. Could seem respectable, or bratty.
