Claire, hands down. Clare is so odd-looking.
Rebecca. Rebekah is too spiky.
Sarah x1000. Sara looks incomplete and strange.
Rachel, Rachael is just unnecessary.
Katherine. Kathryn looks sloppy and dumbed-down (and I say Katherine with three syllables anyway, not two).
Lori as a full name, Laurie as a nickname.
Joni. Joanie makes me want to say Joanne-ee.
Janine, though I'd pronounce them differently (juh-NEEN vs. jee-NEEN).
I pronounce these differently too. Jean is JEEN and Jeanne is either ZHAWN or jee-ANN. Jeanne pronounced like Jean makes no sense to me.
Aubrey (but really, neither)
