Maybe a few will move up and down and there may be a few additions, but it'd take a lot for me to remove a favorite from my most favorite list. Most my favorites have been favorites for a long time.

I don't think I have any real reasons for most of them. They're either just names I saw and thought looked and sounded incredibly pleasant, or were attached to people/characters I like a lot, or just grew on me over time the more and more I heard them.
