Would it be awkward...?
Would it be awkward to have a Charles and Diana in the same sibset? Does it immediately bring to mind the royal couple? Not just the two names alone - I was thinking somewhere along the lines of:Charles
Frederick
Emilia
Diana
Helena- but I still feel like that might conjure up images of a sort of infamous couple, especially in the UK where Bf is from, I'm going to school next year, and where we will probably end up living. Thoughts?

Yes. It'll be a long time before those names could be used together again. It's too infamous. That said, I like both names separately -- especially Diana. I also like Diana with the other boy's name on your list, Frederick. Maybe just use either Charles or Diana as a mn to avoid the awkwardness? Diana MN and Frederick Charles?

Well, neither Charles nor Diana are very common names here, so my first association would definitely be "royal couple". But they are fine per se.

If it were just those two names, then I'd say yes.
But with a bunch of kids like the sibset you mentioned, well, I don't see the problem with that.

I'm the first one to say that Diana by itself is not too tied to the Princess, but I do think that Diana and Charles alone as a sibset would be rather embarrassing. I think even as two in a sibset of three, it would be embarrassing. But the more sibs, the less embarrassing. As two of a sibset of five, I think it would be okay. Are Charles and Diana really infamous as opposed to famous in the UK?

Yes, Charles and Diana in the same sibset are very obvious in their connection to the royal couple. It's so obvious it's like a sitcom gag.

Yup, awkward. Yup, royal couple. Nope, don't do it. :)

I think so. It'll probably be at least a century before they can be used together without that image coming up.

Sort of. Less if there are more kids in the sibset, but are you sure you'll have 5 kids in total?

When you get there, you'll find out! But of course it will depend on the people you know: some can cure insomnia by reciting every known royal fact, and others can't be bothered. If I saw a Diana in the same sibset as Emilia and Helena, I wouldn't even expect her to be English-speaking. Charles and Frederick are very different of course. And I know an early-20s sibset who are Charles and Camila (one L) - this happened before the royal C & C became an official item. Nobody smiles ... much.

Awkward.Emilia, Diana and Helena are nice as sisters though.

Yes, Charles and Diana together immediately brings to mind the ill fated royal couple. They absolutely do not work in a sibset, even if there were 20 kids, imo. At least anywhere in the Commonwealth...

Yeah it would be a bit. I say drop Diana. Charles is much nicer. Though Diane wouldn't be as terrible. Or even Dinah
