Brother for Frederick...our first thoughts
DS is Frederick, known as Freddie. Ideally I'd like to have another name that has an obvious nickname, but that's not essential. Charles is after a relative who died recently, so would like that included, probably in the middle name slot, but possibly as a first name. Any thoughts/ ideas on combos?Alexander
Arlo
Arthur
Charles
Daniel
Hamish
Hector
Jacob
James
Max(imus)/(well)
Nathaniel
Sidney
Stanley
Tobias
William

Frederick "Freddie" and Charles "Charlie" is a very handsome set. I love both names. From your list, I also really like Arthur, James, Nathaniel and Tobias. Some of the others are a bit too old fashioned for me, and not ready for a comeback IMO.Arthur Charles or Charles Arthur are my favourite combo options.

I LOVE Arthur! Especially with Frederick. Freddie and Artie! Arthur Charles sounds very distinguish.

My cousin Frederick, who is mainly called Freddie and Fred, has an older brother named George.I really like Sidney Charles nn Sid, so that GMV.I also like Nathaniel (but not any of the nns), Tobias, Arlo & Arthur. Arthur would fit well with Frederick.

Tobias is my top name for a future son. Originally I wasn't a big fan of Toby but it's growing on me.I love the majority of your list, especially; Alexander (with the nickname Lex), Arthur, James (possibly nickname Jem), Sidney, and Stanley. I don't like William that much but I like Billy.Other ideas:
Sebastian
Albert
Bartholomew
Cassidy
Henry
Elijah
Edmund
Theodore
Isaac
Lewis
Jeremy:)

With older brother Frederick, I think you should go with either one of these:Alexander
Arthur (altough nn Artie is really ugly)
Charles
James
Maxwell
WilliamMy first thought was Alexander, but I think William would be wonderful as well. Some more ideas:
Edward
Edmund
Theodore
Gabriel
Nicholas
Jonathan
Christopher
Isaac
Alfred
Simon
David
Felix
Oscar
Victor
Philip
Robert
Everett
John

Sidney "Sid" gets my vote. It's basically perfect. Sidney Charles. I also like Charles "Charlie" a lot. That goes well, too. In descending order of good-matchiness with Frederick IMO:
Sidney
Charles
Stanley
Alexander
Daniel
Arthur
William
Maxwell
James
Jacob
Nathaniel
...none of the rest go well with Frederick IMO. Frederick is so Germanic and classic and masculine. Names like Arlo, Tobias, and Hamish just seem so fashiony and indoorsy to me.

I love Frederick nn Freddie! I also love Charles! Alexander - I like it a lot, but it's not as unusual as Frederick.
Arlo - It's funky and cool so if you live that vibe this is nice.
Arthur - I love this and especially love it with Frederick. It doesn't have an obvious nn besides Art though, and I don't really care for that.
Charles - love it but prefer it in the middle
Daniel - It doesn't excite me but it doesn't offend me either.
Hamish - I'd have never thought of it, but I like it a lot. Again no nn ideas though.
Hector - I think Hector and Arlo would make good brothers :)
Jacob - I do like it but it's overly common.
James - love it.
Max(imus)/(well) - I prefer Maxwell. It's ok.
Nathaniel - I like this because of Nat, which is adorable!
Sidney - I'm charmed by this for some reason. I never thought I'd be, but with Freddie it'd be adorable.
Stanley - daawwww. Stanley is such a goofy name.
Tobias - Toby gives me the shivers so I vote no.
William - lovely I vote for 1) Arthur Charles 2) Hamish Charles

I think Charles and Alexander sound perfect with Frederick. Arthur, Sidney, William, Nathaniel, Stanley, Tobias and James work really well too.

Charles nn Charlie is nice :)With Charles as a middle name, I like from your list:
Alexander Charles (I love Xander as a nn, but Alex is more obvious)
and
Daniel Charles (Danny, Dan)Maybe also:
Samuel Charles (Sam)
Benjamin Charles (Benji, Ben)
Conrad Charles (Con)
Gabriel Charles (Gabe)

I love Sidney as a brother to Frederick! Arthur, Stanley, and Tobias are also worthy complements.

My fave combos would be: Alexander Charles "Lex" "Alex" "Xander"
Maxwell Charles "Max"
Nathaniel Charles "Nate"
Sidney Charles "Sid"
William Charles "Will"I think other names on your list are nice, but they either don't have a nn or are a different style and feel to Frederick. Tobias "Toby" is nice, but Tobias Charles doesn't work, so what about Tobiah or Tobin instead?
