Short list
Looking for general thoughts on these, middle name ideas, etc. We might use two middle names if we can come up with something that doesn't sound too awkward. We'd prefer to use both first and middle names from this list since we only plan on having one or two kids, but feel free to suggest names not on the list if you think they're brilliant. Surname is one syllable, opposite of "old." ;) Thanks for the help!Charles
Oscar
Frederick
Henry
ArthurHelena
Eleanor
Alice
Louisa
Beatrice

Charles - A bit boring, old and stuffy. I love Charlie though, but this is my least favorite from your list
Oscar - It's okay. It's been super popular for like 20 years where I'm living so I'm quite tired of it. But in an English speaking country where it isn't as common, sure, why not?
Frederick - I like it! Traditional and strong, with Freddie as a cute nickname.
Henry - Love it. I don't love Harry as much, but Henry doesn't really need a nickname.
Arthur - Love it. Dislike Artie, Art etc as nicknames and therefore I wouldn't use a nickname. Great name. Helena - Also very popular where I am, though for people 15-30 years older than me. Nice name though, and refreshing to see outside my country.
Eleanor - I like it a lot. There's a lot of nice nicknames too, Ella, Ellie, Nora etc.
Alice - Love it. It's in my own top three. Nickname proof
Louisa - Like it. Sweet, but yet fitting for an adult as well as a child
Beatrice - Lovely name. It has gained a lot of popularity lately though, which might be a reason for me not to use it. The nickname Bee is sweet and funny though.
Caroline - Eh. Not a favorite.
From the boys, Henry or Arthur would be my choice. As for combos, maybe Henry Arthur/Arthur Henry or something like Henry Edward or Arthur Frederick. I'm not so sure what I would choose from the girls. Alice, Eleanor or Beatrice. Depends on if you want a nickname or not, if you care about popularity etc. Alice Eleanor or Alice Beatrice would be nice.

Charles- I've never liked it, personally. I think it sounds stuffy and uptight. Charlie, however, is adorable.
Oscar- The sound doesn't appeal to me. It's too harsh for my tastes.
Frederick- In my area this is pretty old-fashioned, dated still. I tend not to like the -ick sound in names, for the most part, and I dislike Freddy as well. Fred, though, is nice enough.
Henry- I love Henry. It's classic, handsome, and straightforward.
Arthur- I like Arthur. It's got that cute old-man feeling but somehow works on a young boy.Helena- Depends on pronunciation. I like "HELL-en-ah," but not so much "ha-LAY-nah."
Eleanor- I love Eleanor. It's classy and cozy.
Alice- I quite like Alice. I find it light and friendly, and the Alice in Wonderland association is pleasant for me.
Louisa- It's nice, but not one of my favorites.
Beatrice- I like Beatrice, so cute and buttoned-up.
Caroline- I also like Caroline. It's very bright.

Charles Henry, Charles Arthur, Charles Oscar, and Charles Frederick would all work as good combos IMO (although Charles Arthur is probably the worst in terms of flow. It's still good, just not quite as easy to say as the others). I think Charles is my favorite first name on this list.
If I had a kid and needed to use these names, I'd choose Charles Oscar. For girls, I think Helena, Louisa, and Eleanor are my favorites for a first name.
Helena Alice, Helena Beatrice, Louisa Helena, Louisa Eleanor, Louisa Alice, Louisa Beatrice, Eleanor Alice, Eleanor Louisa, and Eleanor Beatrice are some combos.
If I had a kid and needed to use these names, I'd choose Louisa Eleanor.
(I left out Caroline because I don't really like it, but it would fit as a middle name for any of the names on your list except maybe Eleanor.)(And your last name is the one that rhymes with "hung" and not "dew", right? :P)

I'm guessing the last name is Young? If not, some of my comments won't make sense!I like Henry Arthur best, but only if you don't mind the initials HAY. Henry Oscar Arthur if you go with a triple barreled name. For a girl I like all the names so its harder. I think I would go with Eleanor Alice and for a triple name Eleanor Alice Louisa. Henry Arthur Young and Eleanor Alice Young
Henry Oscar Arthur Young and Eleanor Alice Louisa Young

I only love two names on your boys list; Arthur and Henry. They sound brilliant either way round they go but personally I love the combo Arthur Henry the most. Depending which direction you would want to go with a second middle name, you could have anything from; Arthur Henry George to Arthur Henry Alexander, or Arthur Henry Phoenix to Arthur Henry Beckett.I love Louisa and Caroline and really like Alice and Eleanor. Beatrice is nice, but I prefer Beatrix, I'm not a fan of Helena at all.
My favourite combos to be made out of your girls names would be Caroline Alice and Louisa Eleanor. 2nd middle name possibilities are endless; Mary, Henrietta, Georgina, Kate, Bethan, Elizabeth, Victoria, Isis, Lily etc etc. :)
