I need the name for a hero (in a story). It needs to be recognizable and fairly "normal" but of course I'd prefer something that isn't at the top of the popularity charts. It should be two syllables and easy to remember. I'd consider one syllable though. I welcome all suggestions!

A little info about him: He is brave and compassionate, learning to control his emotions as the story progresses. He's fiercely loyal. He starts off about 13 or 14 but as the story progresses he grows older (to about 17-19). He has a mop of sandy blonde hair and watchful blue eyes. He's average height and skinny, a little awkward as a kid. If you want more information feel free to ask.

I also haven't named his two sidekicks (male and female) yet so any suggestions for names that would sound good as a trio would be great.
