Prank names needed
My aunt and uncle are having a baby boy and I decided to prank them with a name list of ugly names. So far, I've come up with Ichabod, Ebenezer, Herman, Thaddeus, Exuperius, Chester, and Igor. Any other suggestions?

Be careful...What if aunt and uncle fall in love with one of the ugly names! Then you'll be stuck with a little cousin Igor! ;)Let's see, ugly names, ugly names....what names do normal people think are ugly...Humphrey?
Ralph
Engelbert
Habakkuk
Bort
Marmaduke
Murgatroid (or is it Murgatroyd?)

Thaddeus is my grandson's name. My suggestions are Matthew, David, Michael, and Steven.

But those names aren't ugly . You might think they are, but the general population wouldn't think so.

I was making a point.

What did the child ever do to you?

Oh, I used Ichabod for a name game. You had to come up with a boy's name for each of the letters in the dad's name, and a girl's name for each of the letters in the mom's name. I guess our families have a different sense of humor than others. Back to the OP, are there any letters you need a name for? Anything too 'out there' or just completely not their style would work.

Exactly.giving your aunt/uncle a list of ugly and terrible names for their child is very immature and not even remotely amusing. Perhaps to a 12 year old it might be
:S

I don't think it's THAT big a deal. It's just a joke.

I agree. There usually is a name related game or two at showers. I've been to one where you rearrange the letters of the parents' names to come up with as many names as you can. Then there's the one I mentioned in my other post where you come up with names with each letter of the parents' names. If she were seriously going to suggest names to the parents to be, she wouldn't have asked for ugly names.

Agree too. It's just for fun.
Before my little brother was born, mum thought we should write name lists, but I think we had more or less agreed on Gabriel (although mum actually wanted Ruben, but I thought it sounded like an old Amish man), so I just fiddled around with my list and wrote ridiculous things like Raoul-Phantom and Vladimir-Lenin-Kurt and such.

Lester, Ralph, Gloid (I actually did see this once, it was the name of a judge, i believe) Arnold, Beauregard, Billy Joe Jim Bob.

Thanks. Those are great. Gloid is awful, and I do know a guy named Lester who's a brat.
