Re: On my mind
Keely - seems the kind of trendy of 5-10 years ago. Like, "oh this is my daughter Keely Mackenzie and my other daughter Kaylen Kenley. We're totes Irish." Corinna - I know a weird one. And know I don't a Corrine I really don't care for, so this name is done for in my book. Plus I think it's ugly in sound.Thistle - I think of this as Malk's name and it goes well with her style. Maven - Sounds like the name a dungeons and dragons playing nerdy girl would choose. I used to be Meaghan but now I'm Maven and I wear lots of black! Fern / Ferne - I heard someone refer to a woman's ladyparts as a Fern once and since then this name has been ruined for me. I never liked it anyway, so no great loss. Felicity - Sorta twee. Mirfak has gotten to me. It's ok. Ansel - I predict that this is gonna be cool in the hipster world pretty soon if it isn't already. Ansel and his brothers Hamish and Ned. Amos - Erase Ned. Ansel and his brothers Hamish and Amos (too rhymey? we did it ironically!) All in black skinny jeans and The Clash t-shirts. Cassidy - it's absolutely vomitous for a girl and not much better for a boy. Zephyr - Ansel, Ned/Amos, and Hamish's cousin whose dad is a drummer and who goes to Waldorf school somewhere in Brooklyn. (I'm having fun with this) (Zephyr favors The Velvet Underground)Wren - Zephyr's older brother. But he didn't live up to his parents' expectations and likes football and wants to go to college in Texas. He resents his name. Larkin - I love it. A skinny, thoughtful little boy with glasses.
