Beatrice - brilliant; much nicer than Beatrix
Bianca - better than Blanche, but still not good
Bryony - very nice indeed, though where I live the nn Bry sounds like our word for barbecue - better as a mn, therefore
Camilla - nice, if a bit duchessy, but I don't like the prospect of Milly
Camille - unisex French. No.
Caroline - one of the very best
Charlotte - rhymes with and contains 'harlot', and sounds harsh and clunky
Cordelia - always made out to be such a role model, but brought an awful lot of the horrors on herself and her father. IRL I much prefer Delia.
Cressida - too automotive. My daughter the rust-bucket? Nah.
Danielle - too fond of Daniel for a boy to even consider Danielle for a girl; and it's got a heavy rhythm.
Delphine - not keen on most -ine names and most spondees; and it reminds me of Elfine in Cold Comfort Farm, so no, no and no
Diana - lovely in full, but Di is dire; safest as a mn
Dominique - see Camille. Dominic is better for a boy.
