Honoring Ideas?
How would you honor these names without using the actual names? (I'm not a fan of them as is.) Bonus points if you can give some Biblical options. Curtis
Barbara
MelissaAlso, what do you think of these names? I know some of them may not be your style, but they are all honoring. I'm looking more for how they flow. If you don't like how they flow or go together, how would you pair them?Isabel Josephine
Seraphina Karis "Ina" (Karis is Greek for Grace. Would you prefer Seraphina Grace?)
Robert Christian "Robin" or "Birdie"
Susannah Jillian
Jeshua Nathaniel "Jesse" (Jeshua is a Biblical variant of Joshua)

Oo, I don't know how I missed this earlier. I enjoy this type of a challenge. Same gender only? I'll start with that. For Curtis, how about
Cuthbert
Courtney
Kurt
Curt
Conrad
Conrado
Dino (apparently this is related to Curt, through Conrad)
Chris
Cornelis
Burt
Kevin (from the meaning 'courteous' to the meaning 'kind and gentle'?)
Also, the most prominent sounds are the C and T, so you could maybe put a C__ T__ combo together, if you're good with a bit of a stretch. :) For Barbara, how about
Barb
Baerbel
Ambar
Bara
Barica
Alodia (from the meaning 'foreign')
Again, the prominent sounds are the Bs, so maybe a B___ B___ combo? For Melissa, how about
Melanie
Melaina
Melisande
Melina
Melika
Melinda
Melitta
Melody
Melva
Carmela
Pamela
Tamela
Emmeline
Amelia
Alissa
Carissa
Clarissa
Elissa
Larissa
Lissa
Marissa
Nerissa

You have some great suggestions here. Nathaniel is an honoring name, and a Biblical variation of Nathanael. I would be just as likely to use Nathan, though.

Cyrus or Silas or Cort or Curklin
Arabella or Amara or Barri
Melia, Lia, Lea, Elia, Eliana, Aimee, Salie, Elisa, AsaI think the combos flow all except Seraphina Karis. I think it is very choppy and I prefer Seraphina Grace by a landslide.

Curtis
- Biblical names that sound similar: Cephas, Clopas, Cyrus
- for girls, these biblical names both end in -is: Damaris, Lois
- Tis names: Curt, Otis, TishaBarbara
- Biblical names that are similar: Barnabas
- Names that mean "foreign" : Alodia, Valery, Xenon, Polyxena (the Greek would have been recognizable in biblical times)
- Abram, Abraham and Gabriel all have the 'br' pattern in them.
- Bar names: Barrett, Inbar (Hebrew btw) Melissa
- Similar biblical names: Manasseh, Micah, Hadassah
- Deborah is like the Hebrew equivalent of Melissa (they both mean "bee"), Devorah would work too. Rebecca would be a stretch, but could work too.
- Mel names: Melina, Melisande, Melody, Pamela, Melanie, Imelda, Carmel, Amelia, etc
- Iss names: Clarissa, Gisselle, Charisse, Issac, Phyliss, Elissa, etc
Hope that helps!

Curt?
Babette
Other "Mel" names. Melanie, Malinda, Melinda, Melina, Melantha, MelittaI'm not all that keen on the combos. Instead of having Robin as a nickname for Robert I would prefer the combo Robin Christian.

I don't know how you would honor those three names in a Biblical way; They aren't Biblical themselves, nor are they related to any Biblical names. The only thing I can think of is that Melissa means honey or honeybee, and so does Deborah, but if I was Melissa and somebody told me they were honoring me by naming their daughter Deborah, I would be totally unimpressed.
My advice is just use those names in the middle name slot, or use the honoree's middle or last or maiden names someplace.Isabel Josephine: Way too long and fussy.
Seraphina Karis "Ina" (Karis is Greek for Grace. Would you prefer Seraphina Grace?) Yes, Grace is much simpler and leaves no doubt as to pronunciation. Seraphina Karis just doesn't sound smooth.
Robert Christian "Robin" or "Birdie" Robert Christian is a great combo. Robin and Bertie are dated, overly British nicknames that don't do it justice. Rob, Bobby, even Bert or Chris.
Susannah Jillian Flows nicely. Much prefer Jillian in the first name slot.
Jeshua Nathaniel "Jesse" (Jeshua is a Biblical variant of Joshua) Jeshua may be legit, but it looks like a typo and sounds like a speech impediment. Just name him Jesse Nathaniel, which is very nice. Joshua Nathaniel too, though it's more of a mouthful.

Curtis - Kurt or Caris / Carys.
Barbara - Bibi. I think Bibi is such a precious name and could make for a lovely, unexpected middle.
Melissa - Melody, Elise, Elissa, Mariska. I'm not very good with Biblical names, sorry :( Isabel Josephine - very sweet; I always love seeing Josephine and I can appreciate the simple elegance of Isabel, even if I'm not personally a huge fan.
Seraphina Karis - Not so much my style as a combo, but I like Seraphina and, again, I can definitely appreciate it. I've really been liking Grace lately, but I do think it's a little drab as a stand-alone middle name, sadly.
Robert Christian - This reminded me of Christopher Robin, in a positive way, of course. I like it.
Susannah Jillian - This kind of 60s/70s, in the best sense possible. I really dig it.
Jeshua Nathaniel - Love Nathaniel, not so much a fan of Jeshua, but it's at least more interesting than Joshua, and I love Jesse as an unexpected nickname for it.
