Linux makes me think of a computer program or internet browser. I'm sure I've heard it before in one of those contexts. They should have just used Linus but I'm sure they wanted to be cool and use an X, which in that case it should have been Lennox.Ziggy is stupid. It just makes me think of 70's potheads.

Those are different... :(Lennox would have been great. What a missed opportunity.

Isn't Linux a computer program? Ziggy would be cute as a nickname (Like Iggy is), but on it's own it really is a pet name.

Ziggy?! That is horrendous. Linux is bad too.

Not a fan of either tbh. They kind of sound like dog's names to me, sorry!

My first reaction was "WHAAAAT?!" But, are these babies in many way using the Filipino naming tradition you told us about recently? So maybe they are crazy weird to me, but just a Filipino baby name?

Lol. No... both blond haired and blue eyed. Filipinos stick to naming their kids Princess O
r King if they want to be different.

they're both hideousLet me know where I can send these poor kids a sympathy card. Ziggy is a name you'd give a dog, an Linux is like naming somebody Windows.

Ziggy is a pet name, or a nickname at best (I had garter snake named Ziggy). Linux is an operating system

I wasn't too sure on Ziggy (I think they are both a little too bold for me)... but so far everyone keeps saying "oh! cool name!"... so I guess it will work for him. Linux... Yeah, actually the first thing I said was "... as in operating system?". Can't really get on board with that one, but I guess people name their kids Apple and Macintosh these days!

I don't like either. I have another birth announcement. Isla was born yesterday. When my sister told me what my brother in law's best friend's baby's name is, she said IS lah. I said, 'Don't you mean EYE lah?' It dawned on her later that she heard the name before. When we were in town, we ran into the best friend's brother and his family. I asked five year old Ella what her cousin's name is, she said 'Lilli', since that's the cousin she knows I know about. Isla and Ella are too close for me, but I still like the name.
