Favorite "-elle" names?
I never used to like -elle names (thought they were too frilly) but I've met some people with them recently that make them seem more manageable. So, do you like -elle names and if so what are some of your favorites? Any uncommon ones that you don't see very often?

I hate the nns "Elle"/"Ella"/"Belle"/"Bella" but quite like a lot of -elle names, Arielle being my favourite. Michelle is also nice.

I like Belle but not sure if that really counts. I also love Maybelle.

Brielle is the only one I really like.

Mirielle is my fav (can also be spelled Miriel if you are a Lord of the Rings fan).
Other than that, I like these:
Danielle (common, but lovely)
Nelle
Rochelle
Laurelle
Murielle
Estelle
Axelle

Carousel - this just sort of dawned on me actually. I think it could be pretty- Cara is an easy NN and I think it's nice imagery ;)

Ooh, I like Galadriel. I'd never use it - to much Lord of the Rings - but it's very pretty.

I used to just love Nichelle and Petronelle. Michelle is pretty, so is Nelle.

Nichelle is kind of cute. Love Nelle. Knew one and was constantly envious of her name. (she was awesome, so that helped)

I love Isabel, Annabel, and Mirabel but Isabelle, Annabelle, and Mirabelle are gilding the lily IMO. My favorite name that actually ends in "elle" is Noelle. Gabrielle is nice too.

-elle is not my favorite ending since as you say most of the times it's ugly and unnecessary in the written part, like, i loathe Isabelle but love Isabel- same with lots of -el names. though i do like Noelle and Danielle, in those cases it's used to differ from the male versions (Noel and Daniel). i can't think of any others, really.

I have a friend named Danelle (not Danielle). That's one I've never seen anywhere else. Also my childhood best friend had the middle name Narelle. I've never heard of that anywhere else either. I like Joelle and Noelle.
