Names in the news
Today our newspaper ran a story about a mother named Canduss and her baby girl, Forever. It was an extremely sad story, as Forever died. Nevertheless, ignoring that, could you please give your honest opinions of Canduss and Forever? The names are so unusual that I couldn't resist posting them.

Not a fan...
My condolences for their sad story but Canduss is fine if it was spelled differently.candice
Forever: a bit cheesy.

You know, Forever is kind of nice. It's stirring some kind of positive feeling in me. I think it might be the balanced look of the name, and the letters involved. I'm not sure how well it would work in real life, but it's fun to think about. Canduss is interesting. I never realized how Latin (as in roman) sounding Candace was.

I imagine Canduss is a variant of Candice? I don't like it.I don't like Forever either, it sounds tacky and well...not so Forever as I'd change my name the instant I could.

Candice and Candace are very pretty names, but Canduss just screams illiteracy. Besides, it looks ugly.
Forever is just stupid; it sounds like the name somebody'd give a baby after it was stillborn. As in, a real live person wouldn't have it.

Oh, my. Canduss is hideous. I'll never understand why parents make such a choice. If they didn't want the traditional Candace, they could have gone with Candice. I've even seen Candis, which I don't like at all. It's still better than Canduss, though.I've accepted Ever as a name, so I could probably get used to Forever. My first impression is that it doesn't feel like a name, and that "forever" is a lot for us mere mortals to live up to.

Oh my. I really like Candice (prefer that spelling to Candace), but the Canduss spelling is so, so unfortunate. More unfortunate than many other creative spellings. The "uss" at the end. Totally visually ruins it. It sounds the same as Candice, though, so actually, I can't totally hate it. I can't really hate it at all. But why the spelling? Why? Why?I like Forever. I think it's a word that works as a name, and it's pretty. If you're not the type of person who wants to use a classic and/or established name, and want something unusual, it's a good choice.

Spellings that aren't in common use just look as if the parents were illiterate. So, Canduss is a no for me. Forever, while in theory isn't terrible, eventually ceases being forever.

They're both completely ridiculous. Canduss is just nauseating. And Forever is tacky.

Well, Canduss is, I'm assuming, a horrid corruption of Candice so it's certainly not my style.
Forever is interesting and kind of sweet, but I don't think I would like it in actual practice. Good for a character maybe.
