I love Mara, like Zvi, don't mind Joshua, and dislike but don't hate Ezra. I agree that the rest are varying degrees of terrible.

A lot of these are so unfamiliar to me that I can't really like or hate them, so I'll just comment on the ones that leap out at me. Adolf - Yeah, I hate this one, too.
Angus - Aw, Angus? I really like it. Does it sound like something nasty in Swedish?
Archibald - Hilariously bad.
Beulah - Beulah is a GP for me. I know it's pretty much a joke name, but I think it's cool.
Blair - I like this one. One of the few names I like equally for boys or girls.
Buffy - Buffy Summers wore it well, but no one else could.
Dwayne - Awful. Such a country-fried dork's name.
Hugh - Hugo sounds like an idiot to me, but I like Hugh.
Humbert - Very creepy name.
Jedidiah, Jerusha, Joshua - like
Kent - like
Mara - This is "nightmare" in Swedish, right? I can see why you wouldn't like it.
Missy - I've never understood why over age 10 would let herself be called Missy.
Nigel - Hate Nigel. Haaaaate it.
Percy - It's growing on me. I used to hate it, but now I'm not sure.
Prince & Princess - I agree with you.

No, Angus doesn't sound like something nasty in Swedish, but it makes me think of an almost ancient guy from Scotland sitting with a nasty meerschaum pipe in his mouth, going: "Aye, lad, ye ken, 150 years ago when I was a laddie..."
I know, I'm weird. ;)Mara doesn't exactly mean nightmare, but almost. The Mara is a kind of evil spirit that rides your body during the night, causing a mardröm (a nightmare, or litterally, a Mara dream). In Norwegian it's called mareritt, "Mara's ride".
You can also call an evil woman "satmara", which litterally means "Satan's Mara".

Joshua
Kyle

Ashley (sounds sterotypical but all around decent)Most of these I agree with you. But the ones I listed I personally think are acceptable and decent. The rest of the names, I dont care much for, cant pronounce them or dont like at all.

I like:
Damien - or rather, Damian.
Ezra - why?! I think Ezra's charming!
Ichabod - it's so gloomy!
Joshua - I don't like the name itself, but every Joshua I've met so far has been lovely, so I get a good impression from it, if that makes sense.
ZviI'm glad that at least one other person hates Phoebe. I think it's gross. Uzi makes me giggle. Uzi and his siblings, Kalashnikov and Beretta. Erm... I don't know that much about guns for obvious reasons, ignore me.

I seem to be the only person here who can't stand the name Ezra! I think it's awful!

I'm not drooling over the name either but I certainly don't think its horrible. I mean its tollerable but nothing I'd use or have on my list. It is significantly better than something like Braxton (naming your child after Braxton hip contractions lol) or like paisley (barf. And apparently its unisex)Ezra isnt the most amazing name but its not the worst. But if you really hate it and think its awful, I can simply understand your opinion.
Ezra is also just too trendy in my opinion

Maybe HATE isn't the right word, I would rather say DISLIKE. I don't feel hate against names, I mean, they are just names. Hope you'll understand.
