I love Amber. Carlotta is to me a foreign name so I don't really judge it, but it flows well with Amber.

So the combo is good---only problem is, Amber was at one time very popular and is on its way to being dated and its former popularity, coupled with the fact that it was a "new" name and not a classic when it became popular, gives it a "bimbo" image for many people, as I discovered. I love Amber but I never would have used it.

Ooo, Carlotta is pretty. And how cute would a little Lottie be? Amber doesn't really float my boat so much, but the combo is nice enough.

I really like Amber, and Carlotta is one of those names I think of as fun but wouldn't want to be named it or use it. But they seem mismatched and not in a good way.

I like Amber, and while Carlotta isn't my favorite name, I think it works well.

Mmmh, the first thought that came into my mind was
that this name sounds like an assistant or opponent
of Austin Powers!
