I like it, albeit spelled Valona. The double L throws me, for some reason. However, while I do think it has a certain aura of dark beauty, there's something about it that feels like it's trying too hard, as if it's not naturally beautiful but has to put on a layer of cosmetics to appear so. Hmm.

I do adore Val as a nickname, but I think I'd prefer Valerie or Valencia as a full form.
