Saxon is awful and I've never liked Ella. I just can't bring myself to like it, it doesn't look pretty to me and all I can think of when I hear it is the word "elephant."Zara I'm rather neutral about. I really like Amabel and Amity, though. Amity is along the lines of Verity, which I love.

I think Amabel is great.
The other ones aren't my style. I especially dislike Zara, I hate the way it sounds. And Saxon is not even a usable name in my eyes.

I just heard Saxon in a sibset, and while I like the sound I think its weird to name a kid after a group of peoples. I'm on the fence about Amabel. I like it, but I prefer Isabel and Anabel.

I like Ella (prefer it as a nn for Elisabeth or Eleanor) and Zara. Amabel sounds like a mispronunication of Annabel. Saxon sounds like a dog's name, and Amity reminds me of The Amityville Horror.

I like Ella and ZaraNot crazy on Saxon or Amity at all. I actually knew a Saxon. Spelled saxton or saxon. Dont remember. And I highly doubt I will ever come across another one. Ever.

Ella - blechityblechblech. Cheesylametrendysillyblech
Saxon - huh, odd, but interesting
Amabel - It might be okay if it weren't for all the other -bel(le)s.
Zara - awesome and spunky
Amity - It's okay. I've always liked the sound of 'calamity', even if it is impractical for a name.

Ella - this name doesn't feel dated to me, it's waaay to popular and trendy here in the US, I like Elle much more.Saxon - As a name for a tribe/ culture it's fine, as a name for a person it's awful.Amabel - now this name is dated and past it's prime! I prefer Annabelle and Maybelle.Zara - way too tryndy and cutesie, it has only been used since about 1981, based off of Zaire which it's self was based off of Zahrah which I much prefer.Amity - Amityville horror is the first thing I think of when I see this, it's better left as a word and not a name.

Amabel was used enough to feel dated?

Ella - I've always loved Ella. It's so simple and pretty.Saxon - I agree with your assessment of "yick".Amabel - My friend's using this for a character name. I like it, though I think she's disappointed that it's an actual name.Zara - I love Zara too.Amity - I also like Amity, but not as much.

I really like Ella, but I'd only ever use it as a nickname. Saxon is well, just not my style. I have a hard time finding any redeeming qualities in it. Amabel is lovely. Although with the abundance of Belle sounding names around here (primarily Isabelle), I'm not sure I'd use it. Love Zara! Definitely my favorite of the list. Amity I will always associate with Amityville Horror.

Ella used to be my favourite name when I was about 14 (8 years ago) but its popularity eventually put me off.
I don't like Saxon at all. It's the name of a tribe, not the name of the person.
Amabel is ok, but I dislike Annabel, which it is too close to in my opinion.
I have nothing against Zara, just would not use it myself.
Amity is another name I used to like but since reading the Divergent series by Veronica Roth I can no longer imagine it on a person.

Ella: HATED IT. It's not even a full name to me, just a sound. Reminds me of Rihanna's "Umbrella", where she says "-ella, ella, ee-ee-ee" a million times. No, thank you.Saxon: Does he have a brother named Anglo?Amabel: Replace the M with two N's, and we'll talk.Zara: I like it, too.Amity: ...ville Whore. Horror . Nah, Whore.
