Y or I
Two of my favorite Names (Henry/Henri and Myrte/Mirte) can be written either with Y or with I.
What would you prefer? And why?

Henry, because that way it's a classic that works in a number of different countries. Between Myrte and Mirte...I dunno. I think I'd go with Mirte because it looks more "right" to me.

I kind of like at least one letter in a name to go below the line, so to speak, so I like Y.
My own first name has a y-Kathryn. That's how my parents spelled it.

For Henry/ Henri, it's a language thing. English is Henry, French is Henri. I'm not familiar with Myrte/ Mirte. I want to say Myrtle when I read it, so I guess Mirte to help avoid that.

Henry (The I makes it appear feminine and too faddy and trendy) Henry is just one of those names that look best with 1 spelling.
Myrte (though doesnt matter. Not crazy on the name to be stubborn with)

For Henry/Henri, depends on how you want it to be pronounced. I say Henry the way it's said in English. Henri, however, I say the French way. Never the English way. I like Myrte better than Mirte, as it's closer to the original form Myrthe and the name's meaning in English, myrtle. I actually prefer Myrthe over Myrte, though. How are you pronouncing this name?
