London
So, after hearing Carson Daly's new baby girl is named London, I thought it sounded pretty. Would you use it, why or why not?

I like London and I know a little girl with the spelling Londyn and I think her name fits her well. I am of the type that if I meet someone with the name it becomes more alive to me and possible to use. I do think London is unisex but I prefer it as a girl's first name and a boy's middle name.

I think it's a nonsense name for a human of either sex. London is one of my very favourite places but that doesn't mean its name can be used for people. Better than Giggleswick but still not good.

I think London is ok, but I like it better on a boy. I would never consider using it.

I don't really think it's pretty, but it's ehh okay. Trendy name like Brittany once was. I've heard little girls called it and it's not as bad in real life as it seemed to me before. I'd never use it - it's nms.I think it's funny that her name would be London Daly. I agree with Hiddlestoner_26, it sounds like a newspaper.

I think it's ugly and tacky. I don't get the appeal. Hate it on a girl especially.

No, cause I live in England; just don't think it would work

Great name. For a city. For a person, not so much.

I don't hate the name, I just prefer others over it. Most place names such as this one is a bit too much of the trending train.
Though I definetly can see this name as Unisex. I thi k I just dont care for it all that much because its aname of place more than a name of someone to me

I really like London, I would use it as a middle or second middle name for a girl or a boy to honor my uncle, whose middle name was Ladonn (he went by Donn). I even came very close to naming my new (male) kitten London, but decided on Oakley instead. I think it makes a fine first name for a girl too, but only with the right surname, unfortunately London Daly's name sounds like a news paper or a tabloid.

I'd never use it and think it's a stupid name, but then again I live there. It doesn't strike me as pretty either. It has a very harsh sound to me. I've always wondered what the appeal is with it.I don't have anything against other place names, my favourite name is India and there are others I like. I just wouldn't use London.

What are some others besides India you like?

I like Adelaide and Siena (though I know Adelaide was a first name before becoming the name of a city. I quite like Florence and a few others are GPs: Ashton (for a girl), Samara, Verona and Venetia (which is sort of a place name).

I wouldn't, but I'm British.

No. I'm not a fan of major places being used as names anyway (though India and Israel are guilty pleasures of mine), but English place names are especially silly to me. I suppose it's better than the dreaded Bristol and Brighton, but only by the most minuscule smidge.
