Actually, We considered using Seren (seriously).
I had a friend in school named Seren and no one ever commented on it's similarity to Sarah or sarin. I heard the reference a lot when were testing out names to friends, but I think that the average person wouldn't make the connection.
Adore Lavender and Marigold. Shot down by DH, but I secretly think they are usable. Especially if you are a Roald Dahl fan (character in Matilda)
