Haha, I saw that too. He could be named after Bill Shankly, the former Liverpool FC football (soccer) manager, but they spelled it Shankley, so maybe not. I dislike hyphenated names anyway, but Shankley-Gary is really bad! and I'm a Liverpool fan!

Lol, yeah I was thinking it could have been after the Liverpool manager as well, but then realised the spelling is slightly different. (Think the family are from Birmingham anyway) Would really love to find out where the name came from lol.
