Re: Newborn Sightings

Thumbs up for Miles! It's the name of my former son-in-law's stepfather. My former SIL sometimes calls him Miles and sometimes calls him Dad, and my grandsons call him Pop-pop and think of him as a grandfather. He's a very nice man.Anyway, I love Miles and its Puritan flavor and would love to see it used more. The others, not so much.

I like Miles tooIt doesn't have a Puritan feel to me though I know you probably got that impression from Miles Standish. There's a Miles in my daughter's class, or was last year. He was a cute kid but it's my understanding he was a bit fond of arguing with teachers and trying to get out of things.

Adding....I just checked the popularity statistics for Miles and I see it's been rocketing up there. So I guess you can scratch the "love to see it used more" part of my comment. So actually it's trendy. And in a few years, I'll probably be saying, "I love it, but it's too popular", lol. It is a great name, though. I'd rather see Miles skyrocketing than many another.
