Best and worst?
I wonder if you could please visit my favorite list (you don't have to vote...unless you want to, of course ;)) and pick out the most beautiful name and also the most horrid! And I would also very much like to know why you chose those two names.
Then, please remember that most of the names on my list are NOT names I would really bestow on a child. Some of them are even names I would just like for animals (like Grizabella on a cat) or in a story (I would cringe if I really met a real child called Marzipan!).Does the sea exist
Because of our longing?

There were a lot of names and maybe I missed one that's better or worse but...Most beautiful:
Luna.
Because nothing is more beautiful and the moon, and there's something soft and silvery in the sound. It's not consciously beautiful like Adeline and Seraphine. It just is.
Lumi is a close second. I never heard that name before. Most worst:
Temperance.
I mean... come on -_- It's worse than names like Faith and Hope and Charity. All things that are way too much for anyone to live up to them.

This was really difficult for me, because you have so many cool and beautiful names on your list! (PS, I totally stole some for my own lists.)I would have to say that the "worst" name is Renaissance. It's just a little too random for me, and doesn't grab me as particularly namey - even for an animal. Some cultural movements I can see as names: Baroque and Rococo, for example. But others just don't work. Renaissance, Romantic, Gothic...those are too blunt, too hit-you-over-the-head obvious. I'd say the original Italian root, Rinascere, would be more namey. The hard part now: the most bestest and beautiful. I can't even...there's too many. I love Milada, Mirsada, Coppélia, Adastra. Those are my favourites!
